North Cape Lights is an indie-rock songwriter and band. He started playing music since he was a kid, trained with classical piano and music theory at first, and he started writing songs ever since.
After playng the drums for many rock bands from his hometown he eventually formed the band he currently palys with, where he's the lead singer, guitar player and songwriter. After many changes of line up, they have played for more than 10 years now. They have played at some of the most popular venues in London.
Their music is inspired by Brit-rock from the early '90s and the current English indipendent scene, with some kind of post punk taste.
Their name come from an experience the singer had travelling across Nothern Europe, where he took the inspiration for many tunes.
North Cape Lights è un cantautore e leader dell'omonima band. Ha cominciato la sua attività di musicista da ragazzo, studiando pianoforte classico e teoria musicale, iniziando a comporre negli stessi anni.
Dopo aver suonato come batterista in diverse formazioni rock della sua città, ha formato la band con cui suona attualmente, in cui è cantante, chitarrista e compositore. Anche se con diversi cambi di formazione, è da oltre 10 anni che la band suona. Hanno fatto diversi concerti nelle zone da cui provengono e nei più famosi locali di Londra.
La loro musica è ispirata al Brit-rock dei primi anni '90 e alla attuale scena indipendente inglese, con qualche sfumatura post punk.
Il nome della band deriva da un'esperienza vissuta dal cantante durante un viaggio in nord Europa, da cui ha tratto ispirazione per molte canzoni.
